Story
Max is a great dog. He was bought as a gift 3-4 years ago for my mother in law. Unfortunately he is too much for her to be able to keep up with.He is great with kids of all ages. He is good with other dogs. I do not know how he would be with any other types of animals.He has such a sweet temperament. Loves to play fetch. Is friends with everyone he meets.He is not dog food aggressive. Anyone can approach him and his food when he is eating. He LOVES to run - we live on 5 acres and if he gets out - he bolts. Takes a bit of doing to get him back.He needs a loving home that has the time and experience with training. He is smart- so smart - he just needs consistent training in his life when it comes to his behavior.

Story
Callie is a 5 year old Pomsky. She is a beautiful red merle color with blue eyes. She weighs 25 lbs but needs to lose a little weight. We rescued her from the Mercer County Pound and she's now in foster care doing well. She loves other dogs and housetrained. Callie tends to love women and is a bit shy of men. She gets along great with all kids though. Callie has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention. If you'd like to adopt Callie when she's ready for adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.aplmercer.com. Adoption fee is $300

Say hello to Hello, Landry! Landry is a 7-year-6-month-old neutered male Husky mix who’s looking for a fresh start after coming to the shelter through no fault of his own—his owner was moving and could not take him along .We were told that Landry is good with kids and other dogs, and that he is both housebroken and crate trained. He has also been described to us as a very loving dog by his previous owners. Landry has shown us that he knows how to sit, enjoys being outside soaking up the sunshine, and is currently learning how to walk on a leash. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Landry has so much love to give and is ready to find a home. Landry weighs in at 73 lbs. and was given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Our adoptions are $100 cash/check. Our visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm.. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331. You can reach us at 937-547-1645
