This handsome boy is curious about everything. Sometimes *too* curious? During his assessment, he spent a lot of time investigating the world, wondering what things were, whether they were safe, and if perhaps they required further investigation. The answer was usually yes.What Stetson Kevin Is Like:- Energetic, curious, and always on the move- Building confidence in new situations- Friendly with people and eager to engage- Loves exploring more than listening to directions- Occasionally makes questionable decisions, but with enthusiasmFor example, Stetson Kevin was deeply suspicious of a dog statue in the lobby. A statue. Of a dog. To be fair, once he realized it wasn`t coming to life, he recovered quickly and moved on with his day. That pretty much sums him up: things can feel a little overwhelming at first, but he`s learning that most of the world is actually pretty okay.When meeting people, Stetson Kevin was sweet and friendly, though he occasionally expressed his excitement by jumping up to say hello. With other dogs, he started out unsure but gradually became more confident, eventually inviting play in his own slightly awkward, enthusiastic way.Stetson Kevin`s Ideal Home Looks Like:- Kids around 10+, on a case-by-case basis- Other dogs, pending meet-and-greets- An active family that enjoys training and adventure- Humans who appreciate a dog with opinions, curiosity, and a sense of humorStetson Kevin feels like the kind of dog who`s going to make his future family laugh every single day. He`s smart, sensitive, endlessly entertaining, and trying very hard to figure out this whole `being a dog` thing.The dog statue has already forgiven him.---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Stetson Kevin is an energetic and curious dog who initially struggled with inactivity, often pacing and whining when not engaged. During walks, he startled easily but gradually gained confidence.Inside, he was cautious in unfamiliar situations, like being fearful of the dog statue in the lobby, though he recovered quickly from sudden noises once in the room. When invited to interact, he took a moment to assess before engaging. He showed little interest in food and struggled with redirection, more open to investigation than listening.When meeting new people, he tended to jump up, although gently.
