Story
Kamilla came into my life like a burst of light, all curious eyes, soft fur, and a heart bigger than her paws. From the beginning, she taught me how to slow down, how to laugh on the hard days, and how love can show up in the smallest moments. Our days were filled with learning each other, quiet companionship, and the kind of joy that only a dog can give without asking for anything in return. Right now, my body needs more care than I can give, as I recover from brain surgery, and loving Kamilla means choosing what is best for her, even when it breaks my heart. I want her to have a home where she can run, be nurtured, and continue growing into the incredible dog she is meant to be. Letting her go is not a reflection of a lack of love, but of how deeply I love her. Kamilla deserves a life full of warmth, patience, and joy, and my greatest hope is that she finds a family who will love her as fiercely and gently as she deserves.

MEET EZEKIEL!STATS: 3 years old, neutered, Siberian Husky Mix, 69 lbsAFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: I am such a loverboy! While I have a good amount of young-dog energy, I don’t have the energy of your typical Husky – I am MUCH lower-key. I love playing with other dogs or chasing around some toys in the yard, but after a while I just want to lay in a shady spot and enjoy the outdoors. When it comes to love, I’m your guy! I love leaning into your legs for some scratches and spending time sitting next to my favorite people!WHAT I LOVE: While it hasn’t been warm enough for shelter staff to break out the hose and kiddie pools, they have noticed that I sometimes lay in the empty pool or get my head a little too deep in the water bucket outside. They believe that I might be a big fan of water! I love jogging around with the other dogs, chasing the ball, and enjoying the cool breeze in my fur.KIDS: While I haven’t been formally tested with kids at the shelter, the staff thinks my low key but playful, sweet personality would make me a good buddy for kids that are respectful and kind towards me.OTHER DOGS: I`m dog-friendly and enjoy the company of other dogs! I go to playgroup here at the shelter!CATS: UnknownHIS MATCH: I would be the perfect match for someone who needs a moderately active best buddy – walks, playtime outside, you know – the “usual” stuff!
