Hi my name is Elsa! I am a purebred Husky with soft fur, bright eyes, and (if I may say so myself) a pretty adorable smile. I love people — like, really love them! If you have hands for belly rubs and pockets for treats, we are sure to be best friends. I am what you might call a “gentle Husky.” I am actually pretty quiet for my breed, and I do not feel the need to comment on everything happening in the neighborhood. I would much rather be near you, soaking up attention and figuring out how to make you proud. I am eager to please and trying my best every day.Let me be honest about a couple things — new dogs and cats make me a little nervous at first. I just need slow introductions and a little patience so I can build confidence. Once I realize everyone is kind and safe, I relax. I promise I’m trying. Oh! And about walks… I get a little excited on leash. The world is big and interesting! I could use some help polishing my leash manners, but I am smart and food-motivated, so I learn quickly (especially if treats are involved).My dream home would be semi-active — maybe daily walks, some playtime, and lots of positive encouragement. I do not need to run a marathon every day, but I would love a family who will help me grow into my most confident, well-mannered self.
