Don’t let her name fool you, Big Momma is a compact 60 pound snuggle bug! She loves to live the lazy life and take naps under the window in the sun, sleep in on weekends, and take more naps while watching Food Network. In between napping, she loves to play fetch, destroy toys, and go for walks around the neighborhood. She currently does well in her quiet foster home with one human and another mellow, well-socialized dog. While she doesn’t seem to understand how to play with other dogs, she loves to take naps with her resident dog sister and has started to show more signs of understanding or wanting to play. Big Momma can be hesitant around new people and can be dog selective. She has recently warmed up to strangers a bit more, though! High-energy environments can be too much for her, but she will thrive and live her best life in a quiet household. She’s crate trained and knows basic commands (sit, off, wait, on your bed) and is learning more. She’s very smart and picks up on new things quickly. Big Momma would make a great companion for someone who wants a mellow canine friend who lets them sleep in on weekends!
