Story
***Mabel is currently on an adoption trial*** Location: Airdrie, AB // Age: Approx 3 years old // Sex: Female (Spay is booked for August in Calgary)// Size: 17lbs // Energy level: Medium // Dogs: Yes, dogs her size // Cats: Not tested // Kids: Likely older, dog savvy kids // 💕Looking for a loyal little shadow? Meet Mabel! Mabel is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Affectionate, playful, and full of personality, she's happiest when she's cuddled up beside you, following you from room to room, or showing off her adorable trick of standing on her back legs and waving her front paws when she wants your attention. 💕 This sweet girl settled into foster care immediately! She's confident in new environments, enjoys exploring, and handles new experiences with ease. Whether she's relaxing in the sunshine, playing tug or fetch with her favourite toys, or heading out for a leisurely sniff-filled walk, Mabel approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm. 💕 Mabel has a medium energy level and is content with about a 20-minute daily walk along with some playtime at home. She walks beautifully on leash, rarely pulls, and loves stopping to investigate all the interesting smells along the way. She's also an excellent travel companion, happily snoozing or watching the world go by on car rides. 💕 At home, Mabel is fully house trained when kept on a consistent routine and can be trusted to free roam when left alone. She settles quietly, sleeps through the night, and isn't much of a barker—only letting you know when someone arrives before quickly settling back down. 💕 Mabel can be shy when meeting new people. With a little patience and gentle introductions, she warms up nicely and becomes just as loving and affectionate. 💕 Mabel enjoys the company of other dogs but does best with dogs around her own size. She has shown signs of prey drive toward small animals, so a home without small dogs is important, and she has not been tested with cats. She would likely do well with respectful, dog-savvy older children. 💕 Although she enjoys canine companionship, Mabel thrives in a calmer environment. A quieter home with a predictable routine suits her best, as busy households with lots of activity or multiple dogs can become overwhelming for her. 💕 If you're looking for a devoted companion who will happily join you on adventures before curling up beside you at the end of the day, Mabel may just be your perfect match. ❤️ Mabel is ready to find the loving forever home she's been waiting for.
