Hi, I'm Sweet Pea! I was born in the desert near a ranch, where my mom and dad were trying to survive while raising our family. There were seven of us puppies, but when two of my siblings disappeared, Desert Paws Sanctuary rushed to help. Even though they had no room, they rescued our entire family and brought us somewhere safe. Not long after our rescue, I became the first puppy to show signs of parvo. I tested positive and everyone was worried about me. Thankfully, I received the antibody treatment, and within just 24 hours I started feeling like myself again. Today, I'm a happy, playful little girl who loves being held. I snort when I get excited. My foster family says it's one of my cutest qualities! I love running around, playing with my brothers, and soaking up all the attention I can get. I fought hard for this second chance, and now I'm ready to find the forever family I've always deserved. Hi, my name is Bean. I was found in Mecca with my little family after we had been abandoned and left to fend for ourselves. My partner, Sprout, and I had seven puppies, but by the time help arrived, only five of them were still with us. Thankfully, Desert Paws Sanctuary stepped in and changed our lives. Im a happy, energetic guy who loves to run, play, and be wherever the action is. When Im not zooming around, Im happiest curled up next to my people soaking up all the love and cuddles I can get. I do have an old injury that happened long before I was rescued. It doesnt slow down my spirit, and Im scheduled to have surgery soon so I can feel my best. Despite everything Ive been through, I still greet each day with a wagging tail and a big heart. I cant wait to find a family who will love me as much as Ill love them. Arlo is a sweet, fun, easy pup! He gets along with everyone (dogs, cats and kids) and loves to play, but he is not too hyper or needy. If you feel like being active he will happily join you on a hike or adventure. He loves car rides! We recently took him to dog beach and he did well, but wasn't a fan of the water. At home, he enjoys his toys and playing fetch or wrestling with his dog pals. If you just want to relax at home, Arlo is also content to hang out and watch TV with you. Arlo is fine with all people, but can be indifferent when meeting strangers. However, just spend some time with him and he will quickly bond. Then, he loves to cuddle and will even sit in your lap for hugs! Arlo looks like a Boxer/Pug mix. He is only 25lbs and about the size of a stocky Beagle. He is just 2 years old and in great shape! He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped already. Arlo is also crate trained and housebroken! Hi, I'm Lucy! If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh every day, I might just be your girl. Im a happy, energetic Boxer who loves toys, playtime, and being around my people. One of my favorite things to do is back up and give you my butt when I want pets, it always seems to get a laugh! My story didn't start out so happy. I was found wandering alone at a park in Mecca. I was extremely thin, had recently had puppies, and it was clear I had been through a lot. The people who found me believe I was likely used for breeding and then abandoned when I was no longer needed. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan took me in and kept me safe until Desert Paws Sanctuary had room for me. During that time, I lived with a French Bulldog and did great. I can socialize with smaller dogs, though I do best with proper introductions and a little time to get comfortable. Today, my difficult past is behind me. I've gained weight, discovered how much fun toys can be, and learned that people can be kind. I have so much love, personality, and joy to share with the right family. I deserve a home where I'll never be abandoned again, a home where I can play, be loved, and happily wiggle my way over for pets whenever I want attention. Could that home be yours?
