Hi there! My name is Frank. I am a 2 year old, male, pug/chihuahua mix and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!

He does great on walks and is very food motivated, which makes treats a great tool for continuing his training and reinforcing good manners. Willie can be a little cat like when it comes to affection, he enjoys attention and being loved on, but he can become overstimulated and doesn’t always know how to communicate when he’s had enough. Because of this, his ideal home would be with older kids and people who can pay attention to his body language and give him space when he needs it. He does well with other dogs who are around his size and have a similar energy level. Willie would do best with a home that can give him a good balance of walks, affection, structure, and downtime.
