Story
OJ was saved from a local kill shelter. This baby along with 2 other fur friends were abandoned by their owner and were left chained up outside. While OJ was in the shelter he presented a small dry cough. We immediately took him to our vet to get him checked out along with much needed radiographs. It was determined that he has a soft palate (which is pretty normal for certain breeds). OJ will need a home where he can have an easy going lifestyle. He is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs approx. 66 pounds.

Story
We Need Great Foster Homes for our KidsWe are a large Boston Terrier Rescue serving the entire Southeastern United States.    We have many Bostons, Boston mixes, and others surrendered to us every year because of many different reasons.   Some are young, some older, some seniors, but very few are pups. Our rescue will never turn away any Boston regardless of their age, health problems or behavior issues.  We have a critical need for foster homes, both temporary and long term in all the areas we cover:  TN, GA, KY, SC, NC, VA, MD and FL     If you believe you might be interested in fostering one of our kids, please complete the Foster/Adopt application on our website at www.bostonterriertn.org   Note:  there is no application fee for foster families          Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions. The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma. We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them. Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.October 1, 2022, 10:21 pm

Story
Edward “Eddie” Elmer is an older Boston Terrier, but does not exactly act his age. He loves a good game of tug of war with stuffed animals and can be a goof ball at times. Eddie is an independent lover boy. He loves to be outside but also enjoys a good scratch on the back. He likes to be in charge at times and needs someone that will continue calm, consistent leadership and make sure he knows he is not the boss. Eddie does not require a lot of attention and he’s typically content laying on the floor beside you.  The Basics Age: Approximately 11 yrs old Weight: Approximately 30 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes, but will make noise at the beginning stating he does not like to be in it. Story
Zizou (pronounced Zee-Zoo) came to us as an owner surrender. He's an incredibly sweet boy that gets along with everyone and everything! Zizou is such an easy-going pup and loves to be by your side at all times. Whether cuddling with you on the couch or by your feet working at home. He'll let you know when he needs to go outside (pawing at you) and knows how to use the doggie door. Zizou loves to play with squeaky toys and tennis balls. And LOVES walks! Once he knows the lay of the land he gets around just fine, even with cataracts. But Zizou will need help getting up and down long staircases for his safety but small steps are ok. Not that you'll mind, but Zizou will whine to get up on the bed to snuggle under the covers with you. He's the perfect gentleman and would love a furever home to call his own!The BasicsAge: 10 yearsWeight: 22 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesMicrochipped: YesVaccines Up-to-Date: YesOn Heartworm Prevention: YesHouse-Trained: YesCrate-Trained: YesLeash Skills: Good, pulls a little but not too bad.Medical: Cataracts in both eyes, arthritis in his back right knee, and a cyst on his back.Likes/DislikesToys: Loves em!Other Animals: Good with both cats and dogs (may try to hump), but is submissive.People/Kids: Good (even with young kids)Car Rides: GoodSeparation: Had some when we first got him (whining and barking).
