Meet Buster Rhymes, a 6-year-old Puggle whose journey is nothing short of remarkable. When Buster first arrived in rescue, he weighed a staggering 34 pounds—far more than his little body was meant to carry. Years of excess weight had taken a toll on him, making even simple activities difficult. Walking was a challenge, and his skin folds required constant care. Despite everything, Buster never lost his sweet spirit. Thanks to the unwavering love, dedication, and patience of his foster mom, Buster's life has been completely transformed. Through carefully measured meals, exercise, medical care, and endless encouragement, he has shed much of the weight that once held him back. Today, he's only a few pounds away from reaching his goal weight and is enjoying life in ways he never could before. Buster will need a daily thyroid pill for the rest of his life, as well as antifungal cream applied to the skin creases left behind from when he was so overweight. These simple routines help keep him healthy, comfortable, and thriving. What truly makes Buster special is his personality. He's a lovable, sweet-natured boy who adores people and enjoys being part of the family. After everything he's endured, he greets each day with happiness, gratitude, and a wagging tail. His resilience is inspiring, and his capacity for love is endless. Buster has worked so hard for his second chance. They originally belonged to our grandchildren, but their family was unable to take them when they moved abroad. Since then, we have also moved and downsized to a home with a very small backyard, plus we are having issues with our neighbors regarding the dogs. Additionally, because we travel frequently for work, we feel they deserve a home and environment where they can receive more consistent attention and care. They are lovely, friendly, and sweet dogs who just need the right home.

Hunk is a good boy.  We got a call about him running the street and being saved by good Samaritans. They couldn't hold him because they were leaving town.  We didn't want to see him left on the street after the storm so we picked him up.  He is a BIG sweetheart. We don't know much about him but we do know that he needs a family because no one ever claimed him. We named him Hunk because... well..  he is so handsome!! We Need Great Foster Homes for our KidsWe are a large Boston Terrier Rescue serving the entire Southeastern United States.    We have many Bostons, Boston mixes, and others surrendered to us every year because of many different reasons.   Some are young, some older, some seniors, but very few are pups. Our rescue will never turn away any Boston regardless of their age, health problems or behavior issues.  We have a critical need for foster homes, both temporary and long term in all the areas we cover:  TN, GA, KY, SC, NC, VA, MD and FL     If you believe you might be interested in fostering one of our kids, please complete the Foster/Adopt application on our website at www.bostonterriertn.org   Note:  there is no application fee for foster families          Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions. The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma. We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.
