Hi there! I’m Wester 💜 — an 8-month-old Pug/Boxer mix with a BIG heart, a goofy grin, and even bigger zoomies!I was originally surrendered to H.A.L.O. due to my previous owner having to move into an assisted living facility, and was adopted for a brief moment of time, but I’m back again because—well—I’m a LOT of puppy. My energy level and training needs were more than my last home could handle. It’s nothing bad about me at all; I just need a person (or people!) who are truly ready for everything a high-energy puppy brings: daily exercise, continued training, structure, and lots of engagement.I’m bouncy, playful, and always ready to explore the world, make friends, and wiggle my entire butt when I’m excited (which is often). I love people, and I think other dogs are the absolute best playmates ever. If there’s a pup around, I’m down to romp! I even know how to play fetch and will proudly bring the toy back for another round.I’m working hard on housebreaking and I’m almost there! I only have accidents when I can’t get outside fast enough or when I get really excited. I’m a fast learner, especially with consistency—and good news: you get FREE training for life when you adopt me, so we can keep building skills together.I’ve already picked up some solid manners, like going back to my kennel when I’m told (good boy points!). I’m also learning not to play bite—sometimes I forget because everything is just so fun, but I’m trying!If you’re looking for a goofy, loyal, high-energy pup and you’re truly up for the time, patience, training, and activity level a dog like me needs, I promise I’ll give you my whole heart in return. Oh hiiii, I’m Gemma 👑💅 — a 3-year-old English Bulldog with a squishy face, royal confidence, and a strong commitment to couch lounging. Most of my day is spent perfecting the art of relaxing. I love hopping onto the couch, cuddling close, and nuzzling you with my smooshy face until you give me attention. I’m friendly, docile, and pretty unbothered by life… except for thunder. Thunder is highly unnecessary.I do get playful bursts of zoomies (purely for entertainment — I never run away). Towels are top-tier toys, I occasionally headbutt random objects, and yes… I can be a little messy at mealtime. It’s part of my bulldog charm. I’m housebroken and get along well with both dogs and cats, even though I didn’t live with other pets before. I’m easygoing and social — just please remember I am a queen and do not appreciate being talked back to.I came to the shelter when my owner had to move in with a family member to be their caretaker, and sadly pets weren’t allowed. Since I’m an English Bulldog, I need a home familiar with my care. That means no long time outside in the heat, regular cleaning of my adorable face rolls, and lifelong eye drops to keep my eyes comfortable. Found strutting through a Winn-Dixie parking lot like he owned the place, Bean Pie was adopted and sadly recently returned due to his adopter facing multiple upcoming surgeries and no longer being able to keep up with this quirky little character. Now he’s a sturdy 45 lbs of attitude, adventure, and affection all rolled into one compact pup.He’s part lizard hunter, part cuddle bug—and 100% entertaining. Bean Pie loves car rides, gnawing on his favorite bone, and soaking up affection. He has big feelings about trucks (barking is his preferred language), and while he enjoys outings, leash manners are still a work in progress. He’s used to having free roam of the house and usually naps when left alone. At night, he settles into his bed or the coziest corner he can find. Just keep an eye on the door—this clever boy won’t miss an open opportunity. Bean Pie is dog-selective and would do best as your one-and-only or with a dog his own size. No small animals or kids, please—he can get mouthy when overexcited, so a calm, experienced adult home is where he’ll thrive.Bean Pie does have a partial cruciate ligament tear, which means he may occasionally limp if he overdoes it on activity. In a home environment, this may be very manageable with conservative care—taking things easy, limiting high-impact activity, and using over-the-counter pain management as needed. That said, we want what’s best for him long-term. We are happy to send Bean Pie home as a foster-to-adopt, and if surgery ultimately becomes necessary, H.A.L.O. would cover the cost, as long as the adopter is willing to handle the post-surgery recovery and care.If you’re looking for a big personality in a compact body and don’t mind helping him take life a little slower, Bean Pie might be your perfect slice. 🐾🍰Requirements: Martingale Collar; Dog Selective; Calm Children 16+; Foster-To-Adopt (Knee Injury)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
