Story
Hercules is a smart, athletic 1.5-year-old, 36lb Bulldog mix and a standout training candidate. He earns an 8.5/10 on leash, walking with calm indifference past other dogs even in high-distraction pet stores. He shows elite impulse control, waiting for permission to eat food dropped at his feet, and coexists beautifully with senior dogs with zero resource guarding over toys or treats. He is a "pro-social" dog who simply needs a clear roadmap to succeed. To thrive, Hercules requires a "force-free" leader who understands his history. Because he was often tied down in his past, he has handling sensitivities and may show malice if grabbed by the collar or physically forced to move. He must be guided with "luring" or a house-leash rather than "muscling." He is not suitable for homes with children, but for a savvy owner who leads with structure and rewards rather than a heavy hand, Hercules is a loyal, brilliant partner. He has the potential to be a "10 out of 10" dog with the right coach.
