Hello! I am looking for a new home for my dog of 7 years, Milo. Hes an Pug/Boxer mix who can be energetic, but hes mostly just a big time cuddler and professional bed hog. Hes a little over 7 years old (born early 2019 or late 2018 at the latest) and I adopted him from a friend of a friend online. He went through a rough childhood, being abandoned at the side of the road before being picked up, but he was found and eventually ended up with me when the folks who found him couldnt take care of him. In the last several years however hes grown into an adult who loves chilling out, playing tug of war, and long walks. Hes excellent with cats and dogs alike, and makes friends fast. Hes even good with kids! So I would prefer a home with a family that can give him lots of attention and love. April 2nd he will be surrendered to the humane society

Meet Minnie, a 2-year-old Pug mix weighing 27 pounds with the cutest little underbite and a beautiful white chest and collar that gives her a “queenly” look. She’s as sweet as she is adorable and fully believes she’s here to love you… and collect a few treats along the way. Minnie is a happy, playful girl with a medium to high energy level. She loves playing with her foster dog siblings and enjoys toys, especially antlers and squeaky toys. She’ll chase a ball here and there, but she’d much rather engage with her people or other dogs than nap the day away. She’s very alert and will pop up quickly if she hears something new, making her both entertaining and a great little watchdog. She is house trained, though she has had a few recent accidents that may be related to medication she’s currently on while recovering from heartworm treatment. Minnie is crate trained with a little encouragement, especially if a treat is involved, and she settles in nicely once inside. When left alone, she does well resting in her crate for 4 to 8 hours. Minnie is great with tweens and teens and would do well in a home with or without kids. She gets along well with other dogs, especially those in the 30 to 60 pound range, and enjoys having playmates. Cats and other animals are unknown at this time. She’s a smart girl who already knows sit and shake and is currently working on “come here,” “lay down,” and “get in your box.” On leash, Minnie is still learning and can be a bit of a zig-zagger who pulls, but with consistency and a little patience, she’ll continue to improve. She is very food motivated, which makes training easier and fun. Car rides can make Minnie a little nervous, though she has already started improving. For longer trips, she may benefit from some calming support, but she’s making great progress and gaining confidence. Minnie’s ideal home is simply one that will love her. She’s affectionate, playful, and full of personality. When you look into her eyes, she seems to say, “I’m a cutie patootie, here to give you love and kisses,” and she truly means it. Stumpy, AKA Sir Stumpington, Mister Sir, The Stumpmiester, Stump, Bubba Dub, Lord of the Underbite and many other absurd nicknames. This charming lad doesn’t care what he’s called, only that you’re talking to him. Stumpy is a sweet boy with a delightful underbite and so much spunk. He is about 6 years old, with a nice blend of chaotic playful energy and a love of lounging and naps. He is the king of zoomies, loves to carry his food bowl around, and is notorious for stealing blankets off of chairs to add to his dragon hoard (his bed nest). Despite all of his charisma, Stumpy is in need of a very special adopter who is patient, caring and willing to keep working through his quirks. Unfortunately, Stumpy has some major beef with his butt. It may be neurological, behavioral, or trauma related, but Stumpy seems to not realize that his tail and butt are indeed part of his body. This leads him to squabble with his own booty on a fairly regular basis. He has been treated medically and there is no physical medical concern to his body that is leading to this behavior. He takes daily medication to help with stress related to this issue. As funny as it may seem, it has left some serious consequences for him. He traumatically injured his own tail leading to an emergency amputation. Things that are normally relaxing and fun for dogs like: eating, kongs, and any food related enrichment, are quite stressful for him. He will resource guard any food related fun from his own back end. He does best when eating with a soft cone on that blocks the view of his behind. He does better if you watch him eat as you can verbally tell him to snap out of it and he also feels safer with you watching his back. Stump was found as a stray and very little is known about his past. He was unaltered and was not potty trained upon arrival to Fuzzy Pawz and it is suspected based on his thick coat, state of his feet and marking behavior that he was an outdoor dog. He has made great strides in potty training and as long as you let him out at regular intervals, he tends to stay accident free. He may need some continued assistance with potty training when transitioning to a new environment. Sir Stumpington is currently in foster with both cats and dogs and has done well with both. He does need a structured introduction to new dogs but quickly warms up. He has done great with living with multiple dogs but is not a dog recommended to visit dog parts or off leash dog areas as he quickly can become overwhelmed. He has done well with backyard chickens and ducks. He would do best in an adult-only home. Despite all his quirks, this little guy makes up for it with his hilarious personality. He is incredibly smart, easy to train, and eager to learn more tricks and commands.
