Meet Macy — a happy-go-lucky girl with a playful spirit and a heart that’s learning to trust. Macy loves her crate and sees it as her safe space where she can relax and feel secure. She’s housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, knows how to use a dog door, and has wonderful house manners overall. She does not resource guard and even stays in the yard if a gate is accidentally left open. Macy absolutely loves other dogs, though her play style can be a little rough and rowdy at times. Because she enjoys chasing cats, she’s looking for a cat-free home. She also has a silly mischievous streak — she may sneak away with shoes or socks to carry around, and any paper left on the floor is fair game for shredding. Macy can be shy with new people and takes time to build trust. She may run away if approached too quickly or if someone tries to pet or pick her up before she feels comfortable. Once she feels safe, though, her joyful personality shines through. She’s already making progress every day and continues to grow more confident with patience and understanding. Macy is looking for a calm, patient home that will give her the time she needs to settle in and feel secure. In return, she’ll reward you with endless entertainment, sweet moments, and the pure joy of watching her bounce and zoom around when she’s happy. Macy is currently in a foster home.
