Story
Meet Bandit — A Smart, Spirited Little Dog Looking for the Right Match Bandit is a neutered male Pug/Chihuahua mix with a big personality, a sharp mind, and a lot of potential in the right environment. He’s still very young, and like many smallbreed mixes, he has some behaviors that need structure, patience, and a home that understands his boundaries. What Bandit Does Well Housebroken — He generally keeps himself clean, especially when someone is home. Affectionate With His People — He bonds strongly and wants to be near his trusted humans. Smart & Observant — He watches everything and learns routines quickly. Submissive Urination — This is fearbased, not defiance, and often improves with confidence-building. Bandit is the kind of dog who thrives when someone invests in him. He wants to be good — he just needs help navigating the world. What He’s Working On Resource Guarding (food & toys) — He can get protective of things he values. Door Bolting — He’s quick and curious, so secure entryways are important. Barking — Especially when anxious or crated. Separation Anxiety — He struggles when left alone for long periods and may try to escape his kennel.band Bandit needs a home with no other pets and no kids because he's scared of children.  He needs someone that is patient and has time to spend with him.   The suggested adoption donation for Bandit is $415, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for theirpet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. ##2711093##

🖤🐾 MEET ILIA 🐾🖤 7 years old • White Pug • Professional Couch Potato 🛋️✨ ILIA is the definition of easygoing, lovable, and perfectly spoiled. This sweet girl is fully house trained, spayed, up to date on everything, and recently had a dental done just a few months ago. She’s healthy, happy, and ready to find a home where she can be someone’s little shadow and soak up all the love and attention she deserves. 🤍 ILIA absolutely adores kids, loves to snuggle, and gets along wonderfully with cats and dogs. She has a calm, laid-back personality and would be happiest in a home where she can relax on the couch, be close to her people, and enjoy all the cuddles she can get. Her current owner loves her deeply and is making the heartbreaking decision to find her a new family due to medical issues with their senior pug. They want nothing more than for Illia to have the loving, attention-filled life she deserves. 🖤 ✨ Fully house trained ✨ Spayed & up to date on vet care ✨ Recently had dental completed ✨ Loves kids, cats, and dogs ✨ Sweet, snuggly couch potato personality ✨ Looking for a calm home with lots of love ILIA is truly the total package — now she just needs her forever family. 🐾

Story
Boone Chihuahua-Pug mix Neutered male 9 years old, 12 pounds Boone is a charming 9-year-old Chihuahua & Pug mix and he is ready to find his forever lap. Weighing in at 12 lbs, Boone is a low-energy companion that has his playful moments, but is happiest when he’s hanging out with his humans or enjoying some quiet time. His anti-seizure medication is affordable and working well. Boone is a smart boy who already knows commands like "Sit" and "Come" (though he likes to operate on his own timeline!). He is house-trained, does well being left alone for a few hours, and is a perfect gentleman with children. While he is friendly with small dogs through a fence, he can be a bit reactive to other dogs while on a leash, so he’d prefer a calm environment where he can feel secure. He is a "car ride enthusiast" and is looking for a co-pilot to join on life's smaller adventures. Interested??  Adoption form available at nebraskanokill.org Suggested adoption donation:  $200.00  May 25, 2026, 6:42 pm
