[The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Rey was consistent during her assessment, showing curiosity and engagement. Outside, she walked well on a leash but preferred exploring her surroundings over interaction. Indoors, she initiated contact more and responded well to being called, although she became tense when her hindquarters were touched. Rey showed no signs of resource guarding but struggled to recover from certain stimuli, particularly the umbrella. Though interested in toys, she didn`t play but followed me around. She was enthusiastic and polite when meeting new people, but would jump up when they showed interest.
