Good with cats,
Story
She has been dealt some rough cards in life, and right now, she is still trying to figure out if people are safe. She keeps to herself, watches from a distance, and needs a slow hand, a quiet voice, and a whole lot of patience. But dogs like Poppy are not “too far gone.” They are the ones who make rescue feel sacred. Because one day, with the right person, she will take a step closer. One day, she may accept a treat from your hand. One day, she may choose to lay near you instead of away from you. And every tiny piece of trust she gives will feel like winning the lottery. Poppy is dog friendly, but she does not seem especially bonded to the others. She is her own little soul, quietly trying to survive the big feelings that come after a hard past. She needs someone who understands that love is not always instant. Sometimes love is sitting nearby and asking for nothing. Sometimes love is giving a scared dog the dignity of time.

Good with dogs, Good with cats,
Story
Tiger Lilly is a soft little soul who loves a cozy bed, a quiet corner, and a dark place where she can relax and feel safe. Kennels are not scary to her — they are comfort. They give her a place to decompress, breathe, and watch the world without having to be right in the middle of it. She also finds comfort snuggled up close to Petunia. Those two tend to stay near each other, and while they are still learning what life outside survival mode looks like, having each other seems to make everything feel a little less overwhelming. Tiger Lilly is shy, but underneath that fear is a cuddle bug who wants to be loved so badly. She just does not quite know how to ask for it yet. She is still learning what affection is. Still learning that hands can be gentle. Still learning that people can mean safety, not fear. And that is the kind of dog who will break your heart in the best way. Because one day, Tiger Lilly is going to lean in instead of shrink back. One day, she is going to ask for love without second guessing it. One day, she is going to realize she is home.

Good with dogs,
Story
Petunia has curious eyes and a wondering little mind. She is still shy, still learning, still figuring out what safety feels like — but there is a little more bravery peeking through with her. She watches. She studies. She wants to understand the routine. She wants to know what comes next. Petunia is easy to handle and seems eager to learn that life can have structure, kindness, and soft places to land. She also really enjoys hanging out with Tiger Lilly. The two of them tend to stay close to each other. They are not what we would call super bonded, but we do think they would absolutely thrive in a home together. Sometimes having a friend beside you makes the scary parts of the world feel a little smaller. Petunia is a sweet little soul with so much potential. She just needs patience, consistency, and someone willing to help her bloom.

Story
Marigold is kind. She is sensitive. She is quiet. She is reclusive. She is shy in a way that tells you life has not always been gentle to her. But we are getting there. She loves cozy blankets, soft spaces, and the safety of being allowed to exist without pressure. We have also officially bonded over pizza and Cheetos, because sometimes rescue work looks like sitting quietly with a scared little dog and letting snacks do the talking. Marigold does not need someone to rush her. She needs someone patient enough to let her bloom at her own pace. Someone who understands that shy dogs are not broken dogs — they are just waiting for the right kind of love to show them the world can be safe.

Story
Meet Felicia Female DOB: May 23, 2021 Weight: 15 pounds (small) Breed: Pug Spayed (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Felicia is a happy, loving little girl with a sweet personality and a heart full of affection. She enjoys being around people, soaking up attention, and spending time close to her humans. She has the classic loving Pug personality that makes the breed so adored — affectionate, companion-oriented, and full of charm. Felicia has beautifully matured into a wonderful companion who enjoys both relaxing and being included in everyday life. Whether she is lounging beside you, following you around the house, or joining you for short walks and outings, she simply loves being near her people. As a Pug, Felicia may show traits such as: A loving, people-oriented personality Strong emotional bonds with family Playful but companion-focused energy Social and affectionate behavior Pugs are known for thriving when they are included as part of the family and given lots of love and companionship. Felicia would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and affection Moderate exercise and walks Routine and consistency A loving indoor environment Because Pugs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, they can be more sensitive to heat and overexertion, especially in warmer climates. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Felicia will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Patience during adjustment periods Continued socialization and engagement Routine and companionship Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Felicia will need: Daily companionship and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her breed, special attention should also be given to: Monitoring breathing and overheating Maintaining a healthy weight Skin fold and dental care Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping her live a healthy and happy life. Felicia is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Cooley is the coolest dog - obviously! But really, in all seriousness, Cooley is a fantastic guy! He is a 3 year old "XL Bully" (i.e., American Bully x Bulldog cross) looking for a forever family. He is neutered, vaccinated, and healthy - aside from needing to lose a few pounds! Cooley is currently in a foster home with other dogs and is doing GREAT. He is a big guy and doesn't always realize his size (and power), so a strong handler with familiarity with the breed would be ideal. Cooley is equal parts looks and personality - he's truly the full package! We can't imagine he'll be in our program too long... but we'll love every bit of time we get to spend with him, because he's a really great dog! If you've been looking for a Bully, consider Cooley - because he's ready for you!
