Story
Introducing Winnie to the farm family. As a puppy, going through a brutal attack and then enduring procedure after procedure was a tough way to start life. Luckily, little Winnie landed safely with us. We were offering to help the owners, but ultimately they chose to surrender her to us because of the amount of work involved with her care. Winnie was attacked by another dog, we don't know any details, but her lower jaw was broken and they did some temp fix, but then her feeding tube came out and the owner had no more funds. So we offered to help get the feeding tube put back in, but then they decided her continued care would be overwhelming. We said yes. Then we found out more to the story. Long story short, we chose to follow our vets advice and we removed 1/4 (lower right side) of Winnie's jaw. She had completely healed up and is doing marvelous. To answer your next question, yes she is available for adoption. Please submit an application at thefurryfarmrescue.org to be considered for her. She will be spayed, microchipped, 3 rounds of DHPPV, deworming. Adoption fee is $350. We do not place first come, we vet applicants for the very best fit for the dog. Puppy Kindergarten and Obedience training are contract requirements. ##2568246##

Meet Penny — a sweet, 6-year-old brown and tan Chihuahua with a huge heart and three adorable legs. This brave little tripod doesn’t let her missing limb slow her down one bit. She’s full of love, spirit, and a whole lot of charm. Penny is current on DHPP, Rabies, microchip, and deworming, and she’s all ready to find her forever person. Adoption fee: $200. She’s the perfect lap dog for a senior or anyone wanting a calm, affectionate companion. Penny adores attention, loves to snuggle, and enjoys her daily walks. Whether she’s curled up next to you or trotting happily alongside you, she’s simply happiest being with her person. While sweet on her people, Penny is not a good match for a home with cats. If you’re looking for a loyal little friend who gives as much love as she gets, Penny is ready to steal your heart. ##2553496##
