Meet Alvin (12 pounds), a small senior boy looking for a home (and a hula hoop) for the holidays! Alvin can be slow to warm up to new people and tends to be picky about new friends in general. Once he is comfortable with you, be prepared to have a little shadow! With his buddies, Alvin loves to be doted on, held and petted (but please don’t assume he wants your friends to do the same). Since he can`t tell us exactly what his likes and dislikes are, we are looking for humans who can read his body language and advocate for him out in the world when needed. We think his ideal home would be on the quiet side, with adults or older teens only, and without a lot of strangers coming and going. Alvin finds it challenging to share his prized items and people with other dogs, so he may be happiest as your one and only. If you think Alvin is the type of guy you`re looking for, stop by the shelter and ask to meet him! Meet Zeus (27 pounds)! This sweet guy was brought to us as an owner surrender, along with a few other friends. He’s an easygoing guy who loves to be by your side, whether that’s snuggling on the couch, or going out for a winter wonderland walk. He could definitely be described as a classic hound when it comes to having an appreciation for all of the good smells! If you already have a dog(s) in your home, once you meet Zeus yourself, our adoptions team would love to set up a meet-and-greet with your resident pup to see how they get along. Meet Keith (30 pounds)! This sweet boy was brought to us after his owner could no longer take care of him. He’s a bit of an introvert around humans, but once he makes friends with you, he loves to crawl in your lap for pets. Keith is a big fan of other dogs! He lived with his brother in his previous home, and he likes to play with other dogs here at the shelter. Our adoptions team can set up a meet-and-greet with your resident pup to see if they get along. Want to meet Keith and see if he’s a match for your family?
