Foster location: new london Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Baby Girl is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix with the softest eyes and a heart that’s still learning how to feel safe. She came from a severe hoarding situation and never got the chance to learn what being a “normal dog” meant. Because of that, the world can feel very big and very scary to her. Baby Girl is shy, quiet, and gentle. When she’s frightened (which is still much of the time), she may shake like a little leaf and need space to process. She doesn’t lash out, but if someone moves too quickly when she’s scared, she may gently place her teeth on a finger as her way of saying “please slow down.” She has never bitten hard — she’s communicating, not being aggressive. Other dogs are her comfort zone. Having canine friends around helps her confidence grow and encourages her to come out of her shell. She’s done phenomenally with the children in her foster home, but due to her sensitive nerves, she would do best in a home without very small kids. Baby Girl is quiet in her kennel, respectful in the home, and slowly learning how to “dog.” Trust, cuddles, and confidence won’t come overnight — but for the right person, every tiny milestone will feel like a huge victory. She is NOT potty trained. She’s looking for a patient, understanding soul who knows that love doesn’t always arrive loudly… sometimes it comes in small, shaky steps. If you’re willing to give her time, consistency, and a gentle heart, Baby Girl will do the rest plus what other dog can rock a Mohawk as good as her ?! Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved.
