Story
Hello, I'm Angel. My foster mom says my name suits me because I'm so sweet and gentle. I have perfect leash manners. Even the 7-year-old walks with me without any problem because I follow along so beautifully. It gets me a lot of "good girl"s and pets. While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up fast, and I really enjoy hanging out and chilling with my family. My foster siblings are cool, and I like the cat pretty well. We once had a puppy that was a bit too energetic for me. The people are the best, though!
When I'm really excited to see someone come back into a room, I wag my tail so hard my whole body moves. My foster mom tells me it's so cute. Walks are one of my favorite things, but simply crashing out on the couch is cool too.
I don't try to steal anything from the counters, eat anybody's food, or get in the way. I'm perfectly potty trained too. Basically? I'm pretty perfect. Okay, I'm a *little* chubby, but I love to walk and play outside, so that'll take care of itself soon. I can't wait to meet my forever family and give them all the sweet kisses and tail wags!
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request.

After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below:

A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below)
The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location.
Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier.
If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!:
Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720).
Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family.
If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL:
Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family.
If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe:
Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family.
PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options:
Exchange for a pet that may be a better match**
Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee**
