Story
Meet Mochi and Milo! These bonded blue eyed beauties came to the Shelter after their previous guardian had to take over caretaking duties of their parents and were unable to continue caring for their felines. Their previous guardian reports that they are sweet with strangers and have history of living with an 11 year old child. At the Shelter, both kitties have been a bit apprehensive and cautious to interact so adopters should plan to go slow in the transition to the adoptive home. Mochi and Milo have a history of using the litterbox reliably and being indoors only in the previous home. Mochi & Milo are bonded. Their adoption fee is 2 for 1 to help keep them together! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Story
Meet Foxy! Foxy is an affectionate, playful boy with a big personality. He loves string toys, exploring unexpected spots, and isn’t even afraid of water—he may try to join you in the bath! Despite his adventurous side, Foxy is also a cuddlebug who enjoys long naps and will happily curl up with you. He thrives with regular play sessions and enjoys being brushed several times a week to keep his beautiful fluffy coat soft and reduce shedding. Foxy is very vocal about mealtime and will meow to remind you when it’s time to eat—twice a day is perfect for him. While he loves pets and attention, he has one firm boundary: no feet, please! He’ll defend himself with a strong bite if you try. With plenty of love, play, and grooming, Foxy will be a devoted and entertaining companion, bringing endless joy to your home. Foxy is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsSeptember 22, 2025, 8:37 pm
