Ragdoll kittens & cats in Middletown, Connecticut

We got Ruger (1y/o tabby) and his brother, Jax (2y/o black), bonded brothers, in Winter 2025 from a friend who was moving to a non-cat-friendly complex. In the short time we've had Ruger and Jax, it's clear that they're incredibly sweet, calm, playful cats. However, we've learned that Ruger has a protein allergy that requires Hydrolyzed Protein food, or his upper lip becomes swollen and irritated. Ruger was on Prednisolone for 2 weeks to treat the swelling, which was helped until the swelling returned regardless of the strict HP-diet. His vet is suggesting daily medication for life. Unfortunately, my schedule makes it hard to manage the medication schedule and it's not feasible to afford the cost of the prescription food/meds. Ruger and Jax are both incredibly loving cats. Ruger wants nothing more than to be the center of your world while Jax happily watches from the shadows, coming out to be loved on his own terms. They both deserve a home that can keep them happy and healthy!
