Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Louie – The Sweetest King of His Castle Louie is an incredibly loving, funny, and affectionate boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He adores being close to his people—whether that’s curling up in your lap, napping at your feet, or hopping up beside you just to stare into your eyes and touch his little nose to your forehead. If you work from home, Louie will gladly “assist” by turning your lap into his personal office chair. Declawed in his past, Louie can feel vulnerable when startled, so he thrives in a calm, adult-only home with cat-savvy adopters who understand his signals and move gently around him. When approached respectfully, he is incredibly sweet with new people—rubbing against legs, asking for pets, and sharing his adorable little meow. His “snuffle” (a curious huff-snort he makes when investigating something new) is legendary in his foster home and guaranteed to make you laugh. Louie is also very clear about one thing: he wants to be the only pet. Interactions with resident cats—even just seeing or hearing them—cause him stress, so he’s happiest as the king of a quiet, peaceful castle where he doesn’t have to share space, food, or attention. Though typically a mellow guy, Louie has a playful streak. Give him his pickle or banana kicker and suddenly he’s rolling, tossing, and kicking like a kitten. He’ll even grab his own tail and use it as a toy! He enjoys wand toys too, though with a bit more dignified enthusiasm. Louie also loves draping dramatically over furniture, hanging his head or a leg off the side like he’s melting—one of his many charming quirks. Louie has been managing chronic loose stools for a couple of years, but they continue to improve with a prescription diet, digestive support, and attentive care. In his foster home, he has perfect litter box habits, especially with access to multiple clean boxes. Continued access to several boxes cleaned daily or every few days will help maintain his success as his gut health continues to stabilize. Above all, Louie wants a calm home with someone around most of the day to love—and who will happily accept his endless cuddles, devotion, and gentle company. He is a truly wonderful companion with so much love to give, and he will reward his forever person with loyalty, warmth, goofy antics, and constant affection. Whoever adopts Louie will be incredibly lucky—he’s an absolute treasure. Louie is from a rescue transfer. Story
Our family needs to rehome Mufasa. Mufasa is a 13 year old neutered male ragdoll cat. He is declawed. He is a good cat with no behavioral issues. He is not up to date on vaccinations but I will get his vaccinations up to date prior to him being rehomed. Someone in our home has developed allergies and we cannot keep him. Since Mufasa is declawed, he is an indoor cat only. He does well with other cats but he does not do well with dogs.
