Story
Willow is a beautiful ragdoll that is 2 years old. My girlfriend get her when she was a kitten but never socialized her. The cat doesn’t like large groups of people and takes a while to get used to individuals. Willow typically stays in my girlfriends room in her parents house due to a dog that she isn’t friendly with. My girlfriend also spends a lot of time at my house and she doesn’t have the time or the money to be able to adequately care for Willow. We are looking for someone with a willingness to socialize her and get her comfortable with people, other dogs, and other cats. We think it’s unfair to her that she lives in one room in the house. She also comes with a cat tree, her litter box, extra litter, her water bowl, her food containers, toys, and extra food.

Emailed responses often end up in spam folders!  Meet Aphrodite, a stunning little kitten with a name as bold and beautiful as her personality. Born on Valentine’s Day, she carries all the sweetness of the holiday—but with a confident, adventurous twist. Aphrodite is brave, curious, and always the first to explore a new toy or investigate a new corner of the room. Her fearless nature makes her a natural leader among her siblings, and her playful energy is downright contagious. While she loves a good romp and chase, Aphrodite is also incredibly affectionate. Once she’s had her fun, she’s quick to curl up beside you, purring contentedly and soaking up all the love you’ll give. She strikes the perfect balance between spunky and snuggly, making her a joy to be around no matter the mood. Aphrodite would do great in a home with another young cat or kitten to keep up with her playful spirit—she’d especially love to be adopted with one of her siblings from the Valentine’s Day crew. If you’re looking for a kitten who’s full of heart, confidence, and cuddles, Aphrodite is ready to be your fearless little Valentine. Aphrodite is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, she is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $135.  Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. Complete Application.  https://www.richardsonhumanesociety.org/adopt/ Phone Interview/Vet Check. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2352650##

Story
Meet Mustache: Your Mischievous, Affectionate Goblin Queen! Here’s the thing—do you like tiny goblins? How about being lovingly nibbled? Do you enjoy a cat who flops dramatically onto you and trots over when called, like a dog in a dapper tuxedo? If so, Mustache might just be your perfect match. At 3-4 years old, Mustache is a delightful mix of mischief and affection. She’s equal parts playful gremlin and devoted companion, always ready to supervise your daily activities (especially if they involve food). Her signature move? The affectionate plop—right onto your lap, your chest, or whatever you’re doing, really. Oh, and full disclosure: Mustache has a little touch of cat herpes. But honestly, who doesn’t? It’s super common, and she’s doing just fine. We listen, we don’t judge, and we think she’s perfect just the way she is. She’s curious, spunky, and full of personality, but she also has a soft side. When she’s not zooming around or giving gentle love bites, she enjoys curling up for a cozy nap near her favorite humans. Mustache would thrive in a home that appreciates her quirky charm, playful antics, and occasional goblin energy. If you’re looking for a cat who will make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and adore you in her own delightfully weird way, Mustache is ready to meet you!   ##2154555##

Story
Sadly I think it is best that rehome Larry. We recently lost his bff and in his sadness is expressing himself in ways that are not compatible with our home. He needs to have a furry companion so please do not consider if you do not have another animal in the home. His last buddy was a large breed dog but I do not think he would care if he is rehomed with another cat or dog...I believe he just needs the companionship. Thanks

Story
Count is a 2-year-old cuddle bug with the softest purr that sounds just like a pigeon cooing! This affectionate sweetheart loves to be held and will happily snuggle up for as long as you’ll let him. While he enjoys his independence, he’s also a total couch potato at heart—perfect for anyone looking for a relaxed, loving companion. He’s great with kids and other cats (though he prefers to avoid male cats). His curiosity and love for attention make him a delightful addition to any home.
