Please contact Jeff Tarpley (JEFFnTEXARKANA@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Kacey is a female red and white Jack Russell Terrier. She is 8 years old and she weighs 17-18 pounds. Kacey is spayed and fully vaccinated including rabies. She is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventive. Kacey is ready for adoption. Kacey is well-behaved and friendly but new situations make her nervous. She was nervous coming into rescue and at first was only happy when she could play with other dogs outside. Eventually Kacey gave up avoiding the people and has been sweetening up each day. In a regular home we think she will settle in faster. Kacey’s owner surrendered her due to the owners age, health and mobility issues. Kacey is potty trained and walks on a leash. She can be kenneled but doesn’t really care for it. Two things we definitely want for Kacey for her maximum happiness: a fenced yard to play in, and a playful canine friend. Adoption fee is $200. We only accept applications for a specific dog you are interested in adopting. We do not keep waiting lists or files of general applications for dogs we might get later. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet. We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.October 30, 2023, 12:16 am
