Sweet, smart, and oh-so-loving, Joe is ready to steal your heart. His mom is a Rat Terrier and his dad seems to have been a Lab or maybe a Hound, giving him a wonderful mix of smarts and sweetness. Joe is already showing off how clever he is—he’s house trained, dog door trained, and crate trained. He’s learning good manners too, like waiting calmly before heading outside. This boy loves being with his people and playing with other dogs. He’s adventurous and curious, but at the end of the day, what Joe really wants most is to be close to those he loves. If you’re looking for a loyal pup who’s both playful and snuggly, Joe is waiting to be your best friend! Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Joe is the perfect fit for your family.

Story
This sweet mama has done a wonderful job raising her puppies, and now it’s her turn to find a loving forever home. Helga is a beautiful, laid-back girl who is both independent and affectionate—a perfect balance for someone looking for a companion without the constant demands of a high-energy pup. Helga appears to be housebroken—she patiently waits to go outside and has never had an accident on the porch. She’s also doing well on a leash and comes back eagerly when called (especially if treats are involved!). She enjoys exploring the yard and taking her time to poke around, but she always checks back in with her people. She’s very loving with her foster family and happily soaks up pets and attention, but she’s also content to relax on her own. Helga does bark at unfamiliar noises, though it never lasts long. She is still heartworm positive and will need treatment, as well as to be spayed before adoption. As for cats, she’s a bit inconsistent—sometimes ignoring them completely, other times a little too interested—so a cat-free home or slow introductions would be best. Helga is ready for a family who will give her love, patience, and a safe place to call home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is both calm and affectionate, Helga could be the one for you.

Story
Petey is an absolute doll and ready to steal your heart! 🐾 This handsome 33 lb Jack Russell/Beagle mix found himself in rescue through no fault of his own. His family lost their home and were living in a hotel that ultimately wouldn’t allow him to stay. Despite the upheaval, Petey walked right into his foster home like he’d always belonged there — tail wagging, confident, and ready to love. We have several large dogs here, and new arrivals are usually a little intimidated… but not Petey! He jumped right in and made himself at home. He’s great with other dogs, loves kids, and truly just enjoys being part of the action. Petey is: • House trained • Crate trained • Leash trained • Rides perfectly in the front seat • Comes when you call his name • A fetch enthusiast 🎾 Honestly, it’s hard to find a single negative about this sweet boy. Petey did test positive for heartworms and has already started treatment. He’s being taken care of and will need a family committed to seeing him through the remainder of his treatment — which mostly means keeping him calm and following vet guidance. The rescue will provide details and support every step of the way. Petey has handled every curve life has thrown at him with grace. Now he just needs a forever home where he’ll never have to worry about losing it again. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing, kid-friendly companion with the perfect mix of playful and polite — Petey is your guy. ❤️
