Story
Welcome Dash to CCPAL Rescue. Dash is a Rat Terrier from the local breeder in Texas. He is a traditional Black and Tan Rat Terrier. He was born on March 12, 2026. He will be getting his vaccinations, neutered, dewormed and ready for his forever home. He will be a small dog full grown. 15 to 18 pounds or less. Dash was really good in his photo shoot and sat like a big dog getting photos. Dash is one of the smaller boys. He is playful and very sweet. The breeder for this litter is closing shop due to an illness. We have agreed to help get her population down starting with the puppies. This breed is smart, loyal and the puppies are affectionate. Someone who knows this breed would be best. They are energetic so a moderately active family or more active would be best for the Rat Terrier. Dash would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rat Terriers are great family pets and watchdogs for their family. Their training is easier due to their intelligence and a light touch is needed. They are a wonderfully sensitive breed and from experience want to do what you are asking. Dash is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We have an entire litter of Rat Terriers. They are from a breeder. We don’t have papers but they are considered pure bred pups. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video

Story
Meet Cherry, an adorable 6-month-old mixed breed puppy weighing about 18 pounds. Cherry is a happy, friendly pup who loves everyone he meets — from kids to adults — and gets along great with other dogs too. With his playful personality and sweet nature, he’s always ready for fun, cuddles, and new adventures. Cherry is still a young puppy, so he’s excited to keep learning and growing with a loving family by his side. He would make a wonderful companion for just about any home looking to add a little extra joy and puppy energy to their lives. https://www.vermontenglishbulldogrescue.com/non-bulldog-application/

Story
Ruby is a ~12 year old, one-eyed, cuddle bug! Ruby is the most loyal girl in the world! She’s incredibly sweet, cuddly, and ready to shower you with kisses—right on the mouth! Her favorite hobby is playing with toys, especially stuffed ones she can joyfully rip to shreds.Because she bonds so deeply, Ruby has some separation anxiety and would love a home where her humans are around often. She currently needs to be an only-pet due to resource guarding, though an experienced adopter with the time to train could potentially work through this with her!Ruby’s new family must be committed to her medical routine: she is prone to chronic urinary crystals and requires a strict prescription veterinary diet (like Hill's c/d). She also has dry eye and needs daily medication (Optimmune ointment). If you have a big heart, a lap for snuggles, and a steady supply of stuffed toys, Ruby will reward you with a lifetime of love!

Story
Meet Tina! She is a 2 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
