Story
Little Joe ain’t nothing but a hound dog… and that is very much a compliment. At 7 years old, this handsome guy has life figured out. He’s got that perfect mix of mellow and affectionate, happy to join you for a nice walk where he can sniff to his heart’s content, then settle in for some quality couch time. He may be a little shy at first, but give him a few treats and a little patience and he’ll be leaning into you for pets and following you around like your quiet, loyal shadow. He walks beautifully on leash, is house trained, and knows the basics like sit and leave it. He’s also very food motivated, which makes him an easy and enjoyable companion to connect with.In his foster home, Joe has shown just how easy it is to live with him. He’s calm, low key, and perfectly content with the simple things. A comfy spot to nap, a good bone to chew, and his people nearby. He gets along well with other dogs but is more of a hangout kind of guy than a play-all-day type. After a tough start as a stray, he’s soaking up the good life and clearly grateful for it. If you’re looking for a steady, sweet, no-drama companion who just wants to be loved and included, Little Joe is ready to be your guy.

CENSUS DEADLINECLOSE OF BUSINESS Thursday 04/16/26AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR 30 + day FOSTER Name: CochiseAnimal ID: A888466Age: 6yWeight: 74.00lbsWeb Link: About: Cochise was a 9th-century Chiricahua Apache leader who is remembered for bringing peace to his people. Our sweet gal Cochise is also a big proponent of peace- she dreams of a calm, loving home where she can spend her days peacefully relaxing and being loved by her family! Cochise is a sensitive girl who isn’t cut out for life in a crowded shelter. She spends several days a week at the offsite location of PACC’s rescue partner, Tucson Rescue Now. This is a quieter environment where pups can snooze on couches and schmooze with visitors. Here’s what the TRN staff said:“Cochise arrived at PACC after her person passed. She was pretty shut down (understandably), and shelter life makes her nervous. In her time away from the shelter, she is really beginning to open up! She walks nicely on leash and loves her walks along quiet routes. She is a pleasant walking partner and she rarely pulls. While she’s not big into toys yet, she does enjoy yummy treats and gentle pets. We love to see Cochise smiling and feeling good! She is very obedient and stays right by your side in the play yard. Just this week, we discovered she enjoys trotting along with you if you run back and forth, the length of the play yard. She also jumps up to interact with someone who stops at the play yard walls to watch her. She is an absolute gem, she makes no noise, is gentle and so tolerant. At TRN, she is learning to trust again and she enjoys naps and cuddles next to the people that she feels safe with. She is looking for a calm loving place to call home.”During a brief adoption Cochise was well- behaved when left home alone and was described as an affectionate couch potato. She bonds deeply with her trusted humans and deserves all the love in the world. Cochise spent some time in a home where it was discovered that she can be protective of her person around other animals. Due to this she will need to either be the only dog in the home or will need to have space dedicated for her and her alone away from other pets. If you have a spot in your heart and your home for a pup who needs a soft place to land, please ask about Cochise!Available for long term foster care (30+ days) or adoption through PACC.Interested parties:Must visit PACC before
