Story
Looking for the Right Home for Ruby (La Crosse, WI) This is incredibly difficult, but I’m looking for the right home for my dog Ruby. Ruby is a 2-year-old Redbone coonhound, spayed female, up to date on all vaccinations. She is healthy, active, and forms a strong bond with her person. She is smart, energetic, and does best with structure and consistency. Ruby has lived with other dogs and is often fine day-to-day, but she has shown resource guarding and has had conflicts, including a recent incident where she escaped an underground fence and bit another dog. Because of this, she would do best as the only dog in the home. She will need an owner who can provide secure physical containment (not an underground/electric fence) and understands how to manage a higher-energy dog with clear boundaries. Ruby has many great qualities and will thrive in the right environment. My priority is finding her a home where she can be successful and safe long-term. Located in La Crosse, WI
