Story
Ava is the definition of a Velcro dog — if you’re looking for a best friend who wants to be by your side through everything, she’s your girl. This sweet girl is extremely affectionate and thrives on connection. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or curling up next to you at night, Ava is happiest when she’s close to her person. She’s also got an adventurous side — hiking buddy approved! Ava loves getting out and exploring, making her a great match for someone who enjoys the outdoors.Ava is currently in foster with a tiny chihuahua who rules the roost and a playful pitadoodle, and she’s been doing well living alongside them — she understands the social dynamics and settles in nicely.Like a lot of deeply loyal dogs, Ava does have some separation anxiety. When left alone, she’ll try to find you (and might help herself to things on the counter while she’s at it ).Because of this, she does best when kenneled if you’re away and will need a home committed to helping her feel safe and secure.Ava is: Mostly housebroken A champion cuddler Food motivated (she’ll happily sample everyone’s snacks if given the chance — yogurt and green tea included ) Best friend materialShe’ll do best in a home that can give her structure, routine, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a dog who is endlessly devoted and always ready to be right by your side.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you with her whole heart… Ava is waiting. ??

Story
Meet Roxie — a gentle soul looking for her happy ending. Roxie hasn’t had the easiest start. She was sadly abandoned in Springfield by the family she once trusted, left unsure of what her future would hold. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in to help her and had her tested for heartworms before she came into our care. The news wasn’t what anyone hoped for — Roxie tested positive. We immediately began treatment, but sweet Roxie’s luck took another tough turn. She developed an extremely rare reaction to the medication, which triggered the early stages of kidney disease. Even through all of this, Roxie has remained one of the most loving, people-focused dogs we’ve ever met. What Roxie wants more than anything is a home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and included. She adores children and would be thrilled to have some kiddos to dote on. She does ask for a home without other dogs — not because she’s difficult, but because she’s easily stressed and deserves a peaceful environment where she can truly relax. Roxie will need to stay on kidney-supportive food for the rest of her life, and her heartworm treatment will continue at a slower, gentler pace to protect her kidneys as much as possible. She doesn’t mind — as long as she has a family by her side. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who has weathered life’s storms and still has so much love to give, Roxie is ready to meet you. She’s been through more than any dog should, but with the right family, her brightest days are still ahead. Roxie is ready for her second chance. Could it be with you?

Have you heard that Pepsi is better than Coke???? I am here to tell you, BELIEVE IT!!! Pepsi and I have A LOT in common... like our NAME! I am a sweet, dark chocolate drink of soda, with all the syrupy kissing and hugging that go along with it! I am also deaf, yes, you HEARD me, I cannot hear YOU... but that sure doesn't slow me down! Have you ever tried to learn sign language? I would LOVE to learn some with you :) I mean, how many deaf people do you have to say... SIT to?? NONE! But you can teach me ANY kind of signal for SIT, KISS, SNACK, HUG.... and I will be GLAD to learn it! So if you have ever wanted a rottweiler with a super special personality and special trait?? I AM YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!!!! I am good with other dogs, play hard and will nap hard with you too. So adopt me soon, I look forward to my world opening up for me with YOU and YOUR FAMILY!!!
