Story
"Rover" came to the ESPCA from Animal Welfare after his stray hold expired. He has been listed as a Rottie/Doxy mix. He's short and long like the Doxy and marked like the Rottie. "Rover" is older (estimated 5 years) and seems set in his way about the dogs he will allow in his circle. Dogs his size and smaller, laid back, not in his face is what he prefers. However, he has gotten grumpy a few times with his compatible dogs, so that is something to know and consider if another dog is in the home. Now, when it comes to people, "Rover" seems to love everyone. Men, women, kids. Every interaction he's had with people have all been positive and he really lights up for belly rubs. The ESPCA kennels are open to the public Thursday and Friday from 12 pm - 4 pm and Saturday 12 pm - 3 pm.

Story
This cute girl is quite spunky and ready to romp and play at the drop of a hat.  She does have a sweet and sleepy side too!  She is good with other dogs.  She is a little too interested in cats so that would be something to keep in mind.  She learns pretty fast and is food motivated.  She will grow up to be a big girl so will need appropriate training. March 14, 2026, 4:47 pm

Story
"Claressa" is approximately 1.5 years old and came from the Garber shelter with her sister (already adopted). She has become a volunteer favorite and knows how to play her cards for extra treats, walks, and attention. She does great with every dog she has been introduced to and is the dog that will allow the other dogs to run and chase her. She loves playgroups and loves her walks. "Claressa" is a poster child at the adoption events. She's easy to handle, gets along with the other dogs, and is happy to meet and greet anyone who comes to visit.

Story
I'm Milo, a handsome 1-year-old black and white Boxer mix with energy for days! 🐕 I'm neutered and ready for an active home where I can get the mental and physical stimulation I need to thrive — I do best with adult-only households and would benefit with having another dog or 2 (however, cats aren't a good fit for me). I'm a possible door dasher and can be mouthy, so I'll need a patient owner who can work with me on training and keep me engaged. I was heartworm positive and went through the treatment. I'll just have to be on prevention for the rest of my life (all dogs should honestly). I struggle when left alone, so a home where someone's around frequently is ideal. My adoption fee is $100 and the kennels are open to the public Thursday and Friday 12 pm - 4 pm, and Saturday 12 pm - 3 pm.
