My Smokie Blu came to me when she was only 2 to 3 months old. Me and my husband were hanging out outside with a fire listening to music on our usual Saturday night. We heard a faint meow like it was a kitten and so we started looking around the yard and I looked behind my chair and there she was under our fifth wheel camper looking right at me. She was cold and hungry but looked healthy. She was very scared and skiddish. I went inside and cut up some leftover pork chops and she went to town and wanted more. It took me a good 3 months to get her used to me enough where she’d come inside to eat. Once that happened it wasn’t long before she was cuddling in my lap in a blanket. She’s definitely spoiled. She loves being outside but was so used to sleeping with me at night. Since me and my husband separated, we are no longer staying at that location and I can’t have her where I’m going. There is also an old black female stray, very sweet and fixed already. She’s just scared as well.

Story
I rescued Earl from behind a dumpster 4 years ago and ever since he has been living his best fat and happy life. Earl has lived with a larger dog and been through several moves never with any issues. He’s always been by our sides and ready for pets and cuddles. We got pregnant and unfortunately the arrival of a little one was upsetting to Earl. With less attention and no longer being the baby of the house he has turned to behavioral issues that we cannot tolerate on top of having a new baby. We’ve exhausted all efforts to improve his behavior including medication but he does not tolerate the baby still. He is the friendliest and sweetest cat and is always the first to greet people when they are over. We are extremely sad to have to rehome him because he has been through so much with us. He is on a special diet food due to a history of bladder stones that is managed through diet. Other than that he just requires lots of time snuggling and pets with an occasional treat.

I'm looking to re-home my sweet boy due to an upcoming move. This is a difficult decision, and I want to find him a home where he'll be loved and happy. He is a friendly 4-year old cat who enjoys spending time with people of all ages, including children. He gets along fine with both cats and dogs, although he prefers to mind his own business. He prefers an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and is happiest when he has the freedom to explore outside. Because of this, he does not like using a litter box and prefers to do his business outdoors, so he'll do best in a home where that's possible. Like most cats, he has his independent moments, but he's sweet and loving most of the time and enjoys attention on his own terms. Because of his pedigree, he is hypoallergenic, and great for those with allergies. I'm looking for a responsible, caring family or individual who can provide him with a safe, loving home. If you think you might be the right fit, I'd love to tell you more about him.
