Russian Blue kittens & cats in Neptune Beach, Florida

Atreides is our fourth cat, and only cat we did not purchase from a humane society (my wife brought him home after running an errand to get cat food from the pet store). Atreides is very sweet, but very shy. He gets along great with our other cats but is very cautious around other people and takes some time to learn to trust. We have two boys (4 and 2).He’s very sweet, or if not, simply avoidant. If you try and engage with him from above he will run away. You always have to engage with him slowly and at his level (even then he may run). Most successfully he will come to you very affectionately but he will run with sudden movements or loud noises. We absolutely love him, but he’s had a urine issue ongoing for a year and half that we haven’t been able to give the proper treatment to. He has frequently peed outside of the litterbox which we have tried to address in multiple ways but ultimately we have been unable to give the time/attention it deserves to treat him.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This beautiful, sweet boy was left behind by his previous family and a nice lady took him in. She got him seen by a vet and has cared for him for a few months. Unfortunately her dog has not adjusted to him and she is afraid he will hurt him so we are giving him a chance at a forever home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 12, 2026, 9:11 pm

My sister adopted him from a shelter in Tampa and then she was no longer able to care for him. I took him in and gave him the care he needed and now he’s healthy as a horse, sweet as pie and loving. If you want a lap cat, this is your boy! He will climb into your lap, sleep beside you every night and has no special diet. He has bandages remaining from a skin issue that has now been taken care of. He’s so sweet and the only reason I can’t keep him is because I lost my job and have another cat with special needs to care for.
