He’s not into drama — just naps, snacks, and sunshine.Cassius is diabetic, so he’ll need daily insulin and a consistent routine, but don’t let that scare you — he’s a champ when it comes to his care, and the love you’ll get in return is more than worth it. His diabetes is currently well-managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet (in our shelter, we feed Fancy Feast Classic Pate), and twice-daily insulin injections. We will require that his adopter has a well-established relationship with a veterinarian. HART's Medical Team will provide his adopter training in the care of a diabetic cat (it’s easier than you think!), along with a blood-glucose testing kit, a vial of insulin with related supplies, and a generous starter amount of canned food.
