Georgette was part of an unwanted litter that we took in after spaying the mother. Georgette and her siblings were born late July 2025 and are all ready for adoption. Georgette is a little shy at first, but she warms up once she knows she is safe. She's always been around her siblings and would like to have another feline in the home - her current roommates would be her first choice if you are willing to take more than one. She is a lovely girl and is hoping with her whole heart that she will be lucky enough to be able to go Home for the Holidays! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. Nora and 11 other kittens were left in a tote on the doorstep of a farm near Glenville. The folks who lived there couldn't take care of them, so they came to the Humane Society and immediately went into foster care because they were not even a month old. Nora is a gorgeous Russian Blue mix who has always been around cats and her foster mom also has dogs. She hopes to go to a home with other cats, but would also be just as pleased to bring along one of her shelter friends when she gets to go Home for the Holidays!
