Buddy “Bud Bud” is a sweet and easygoing gray-and-white tuxedo cat looking for a peaceful forever home. One of his favorite things in the world is relaxing on a screened porch or sunroom, quietly watching birds, squirrels, and the outdoors from the safety of inside. He’s an indoor cat through and through, but he truly enjoys having a cozy place to observe nature. Bud Bud has a gentle, affectionate personality. He loves being carried around and enjoys close companionship, though he’s not much of a lap cat. He’s playful with interactive toys, curious about his surroundings, and enjoys exploring the house at his own relaxed pace. During colder months, he loves lounging on his cat condo by the window. He has excellent house manners—he uses his tall scratching post instead of furniture, has a sleek low-maintenance coat, and sheds very little. He’s also wonderfully calm in a pet carrier and behaves beautifully at the veterinary clinic. Bud Bud gets along with most other cats except for one personality clash and may also do well with calm dogs if introduced slowly. Finch came to us an urgent medical case. She was found in Tipton County with a severe upper respiratory infection and an infection in her eye. The Friends of Tipton County Animal Shelter (FOTCAS) reached out and we were happy to help. Initially, the vet thought that she would lose the eye. Fortunately, we were able to save the eye. It has a scar from the ulceration and may have partial blindness. She is very shy at first, for months het foster mom had to apply medication and care for the eye, so that is her first thought when approaching her. She has come a long way in her socialization and needs a quiet home with another kitty to continue her journey. She loves her cat tree and lets her foster mom give her love kisses when she is perched in front of the window. She still does not like to be picked up but will come to sit by us for chin rubs.
