Story
Sara is one of those cats who quietly commands a room without ever asking for the spotlight. Estimated to be around 3 years old, the first thing you'll notice is her stunning blue-gray coat and those remarkable green eyes, but spend even a few moments with her and you'll discover that it's the way she moves that really leaves an impression. Long-legged, graceful, and wonderfully confident, Sara glides through the house with the kind of effortless elegance that makes even lifelong cat people stop and admire her. She's adventurous, curious, and carries herself with the calm assurance of a cat who knows exactly who she is. Go watch Sara on YouTube, then come right back to read more. Seeing her graceful confidence, hearing her adorable little conversational meow, and watching the gentle way she moves tells you so much about the kind of companion she is ready to be. https://youtu.be/E8ubOr0tAe8 Sara is being lovingly fostered in a home with a 12-year-old, where she has only proven herself to be a beautifully socialized, affectionate companion. She has that wonderful balance so many cat lovers hope to find. She genuinely enjoys attention, happily leaning back into your hand when you pet her as if she's meeting you halfway, but she's equally content spending time exploring the house or sightseeing from a windowsill before wandering back to check in. One of Saras most charming quirks is her expressive voice. She's not loudly demanding anything. Instead, she seems to narrate her day, offering thoughtful little observations as she strolls through the house. It gives her so much personality and makes everyday life with her feel wonderfully connected. She's happy to be picked up and held, loves climbing to survey her kingdom, and somehow manages it all with remarkable grace. Nothing about Sara feels frantic or chaotic. She's confident, gentle, beautifully balanced, and would fit wonderfully into a variety of homes looking for an affectionate, easygoing feline friend. If you're searching for a cat whose beauty is matched by an equally lovely personality, Sarah may just be waiting for you. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
I adopted Millie from Arizona. She was a year old at that time. So she is 8 years old now. Millie has been a good kitty, not always looking for attention and coming to sit on your lap at her discretion. She does not like to be picked up.. She is also an indoor/outdoor cat, and would not be happy staying indoors all the time. She might be a hunter, but I live near the woods and she has never brought me anything that she has killed, and is always hungry when she comes inside, so I assume she doesn't kill and eat anything. Millie is sweet, but very much a cat wanting her own way. Recently she has wanted to go in and out regularly, scratching on my furniture if I don't notice her at the door. That is the way she signals me that she wants something. She has a small cat tree with some scratching posts, but maybe would do better with a larger one. I have enjoyed my 80th birthday, and also have a dog. So I want to insure that Millie has a good longer-term home.
