Russian Blue kittens & cats in Abingdon, Virginia

I was given him by a regular at work, he was shy and distant and didn’t get out much but i thought he would eventually warm up. He has behavioral issues and scratched up my fiancé real bad. We can’t keep him anymore as my other cats no longer get along with him for that reason.

This is Sammy, a beautiful 6-year-old male Russian Blue who has a very special place in our family. My mom adopted Sammy in 2020 from the Humane Society after my dad passed away. We recently lost my mom. Sammy is sweet, affectionate and wonderfully independent. He loves attention, but on his terms—he'll seek you out when he wants affection and is equally content relaxing on his own. He doesn't need to be the center of attention; he simply enjoys knowing his person is nearby. My mom lived a quiet life, and that's the life Sammy knows. I think he would be happiest in a peaceful home with someone looking for a gentle companion. He has never lived with dogs, and although he originally came from the Avery Humane Society, he hasn't lived with other cats since my mom adopted him. Doesn't scratch furniture but loves his scratching pad. Indoor cat but loves to watch what's going on outdoors.
