Story
Treasure is looking for a retirement home to spend her remaining life. She’s an 8ish year old Lurcher who has lived a tough life, raising countless puppies in horrendous living conditions. She is shy, but full of personality once she’s comfortable. Treasure does have quite a few cancerous mammary masses that will likely grow but our hope is that they will do so slowly allowing her to have some more time to just be loved. The removal for all of them would be extremely involved and painful, so we have elected to remove the largest ones only. Treasure is so deserving of a relaxing, happy ending and we hope that she gets to have it. Treasure is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed, microchipped, and current on flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $100. Rockafella ( Rocky is the sweetest. He hugs, cuddles and wants to be close to his people. He's 2 years old. He's fun. We play a game where he chases the spray from a water hose ( like a cat with a laser. He'll bark when a stranger approaches, but he's never shown aggression. He is a moderate shedder. He is friendly with other dogs, but a little rough for smaller and older dogs. He gets along with cats, but only if they stand their ground when he wants to play. He escapes through tiny gaps in fences, which is the main reason we can't keep him.

Hi, I’m Rue! I’m a sweet senior girl looking for a calm, loving home where I can enjoy my golden years surrounded by comfort and companionship. I can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, I warm up into a loyal, affectionate companion who loves being close to her favorite humans. My favorite things are cozy naps, gentle cuddles, and spending quiet time by your side. I do have cruciate ligament damage, so I’m looking for a family that can provide a comfy place to rest and help me stay comfortable as I age. I'm recommended to be the only pet in the home, as I would do best without other dogs or cats. In return, I’ll gladly soak up all the love and attention and give plenty back. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion to share your days with, I’d love to meet you. Rue's adoption fee is waived thanks to Hensley Legal.
