Meet Obie
6-year-old Samoyed/Husky
Professional Snow Enthusiast. Full-time Fluff.
Hi. I’m Obie. Yes, I woke up like this.
I’m what happens when a cloud and a snowstorm fall in love. I’ve got the Samoyed smile, the Husky sass, and enough floof to insulate a small cabin. If shedding were an Olympic sport, I’d bring home gold, silver, and a consolation ribbon just for dramatic effect.
Let’s get one thing straight:
No kids.
I prefer my kingdom calm, my humans grown, and my schedule free from sticky fingers and surprise tail tugs. I am extremely friendly, but I like my friendships mature and mutually respectful. Think cozy coffee shop energy, not daycare at recess.
Now… snow.
Snow is my religion. Snow is my hobby. Snow is my personality. When the flakes start falling, I transform into a majestic winter wolf poet. I zoom. I frolic. I dramatically fling my face into drifts like I’m filming a nature documentary called “Fluff of the North.” If you enjoy winter walks where your dog looks like he was born to pull a sled across Alaska, I am your guy.
Personality highlights:
• Extremely friendly
• Loves people
• Probably judging your snow shoveling technique
• Will happily accompany you on brisk adventures
• May sing the song of my ancestors if properly inspired
I would thrive with an adult home that appreciates big personalities, bigger coats, and the occasional husky commentary. Give me cool air, snowy days, and a human who understands that I am both majestic and mildly ridiculous.
Adopt me, and winter will never be boring again.
If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
