Hi there, I’m Anna!I’m a 3-year-old brown and white Alaskan Malamute with a bubbly spirit and the sweetest heart you’ll ever meet. My first few years weren’t exactly what you’d call a typical doggy life, but thankfully I was given a second chance when I came to the shelter. Now I’m dreaming of something I’ve never truly had before- a real home, with a real family to call my own.When I first arrived, I was pretty shy and unsure of the world around me. Everything felt big and new. But thanks to the love and patience of the staff and volunteers here, I’ve really blossomed. Once I feel comfortable, my joyful personality shines bright! I have a happy energy that tends to make people smile, and I love forming special bonds with “my people.”I’m looking for a family who’s excited to welcome an affectionate, loyal companion into their lives. If you’re hoping for a dog who will greet you with enthusiasm, stick by your side, and fill your home with warmth and happiness, I might just be your girl.The staff here think I would do best as the only pet in a teen-and-up household. I’ve enjoyed playgroup here at the shelter, but I can be protective of my food and some of my belongings, so having my very own space (and being your one and only!) would help me feel safe and secure.Because I didn’t have much structure early on, I’m still polishing up some basics like loose-leash walking and obedience skills. The good news? I’m smart, eager to learn, and would love the chance to train with you. It would be such a fun way for us to bond and grow together and help me become the very best companion I can be.More than anything, I’m ready to leave my past behind and start my next chapter- one filled with love, patience, and lots of cozy moments. Could that be with you? Come and meet me today!!If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies
