Story
🐾 Meet Echo! 🐾 3 years old • Beagle mix • Adoption fee $150 Great with people (including kids!) • Best as an only dog Apply: knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt Echo is a 3-year-old vibrant, clever, ridiculously food-motivated little guy with a heart as big as his personality. This boy LOVES people — especially men — and he’s gentle and sweet with kids. He snuggles hard, learns fast, and wants nothing more than to be near his humans. But Echo has had a rough start in life, and he’ll need a patient adopter willing to give him structure, reassurance, and time. ❤️ What Echo Loves: • Being with his humans — he has separation anxiety and struggles being left alone. • Learning new things — he’s smart and picks up commands from his foster siblings quickly. • Food… ALL food — snacks, crumbs, mystery floor items… if it exists, he believes it belongs to him. 😂 Echo’s Quirks (AKA Why He’s Hilarious): • If you leave food unattended, he will find it. He’s basically a furry raccoon with a PhD in counter-surfing. • He can open containers. He can climb. He can strategize. If NASA needs a problem-solver, they can call Echo. • He drinks water like he’s auditioning for a camel role, so he needs consistent potty breaks. We’re still working on him giving us cues, but he is mostly potty trained. 🐶 Home Requirements: • Only dog or with submissive dog — he is protective of his food and treats and doesn’t do well with a dominant dog. • Someone patient who understands he’s learning how to feel safe for the first time in his life. • Someone who can manage his separation anxiety with compassion and routine. 🌟 The Good Stuff: • Great with kids • Fantastic snuggler • Smart, trainable, and food-motivated • Wants so badly to love and be loved • Playful, sweet, silly, and eager to please Echo is a wonderful, loving dog who needs someone who sees past the quirks and into the heart of a dog who never wants to feel hungry or abandoned again. In the right home, he’s going to be an incredibly loyal, funny, affectionate best friend. Ready to meet this smart little foodie? 💛 Apply to adopt: knoxvintagepetproject.com/adopt

Story
We adopted Hank from Young-Williams Animal Center at the end of August. Hank is extremely cuddly and loves to play with his toys, he loves long car rides and to curl up under his blanket. He is house trained and knows a few tricks like sit and is learning shake. Hank is mostly indifferent to dogs and most people on walks but tends to be afraid of large dogs. Hank plays rough, so it is not recommended to have him around children. He does have a 5-bite history. 2 class 4s from when food was dropped he charged at us, and 3 class 2/3 from having to be pulled away from food and a dog. We have been working with him to curb this aggression and we can hand feed him and pet him while he is eating his dog food but when human food is dropped on the ground he becomes extremely aggressive. We love Hank very much and do not want to loose him but cannot give him the training that he needs. Our only other option is euthanasia and we only have a few weeks to decide.
