Story
Augustus is a 6-year-old male purebred Basset Hound. He was gifted to us as a companion for our female Basset Hound and has always been the slower-paced, cautious, and quietly curious one. After losing our female Basset Hound a year and a half ago, we’ve struggled emotionally and haven’t been able to connect with him the same way. With a new baby and a busy schedule, we feel stretched thin and unable to give him the time and attention he deserves. Though this decision has been difficult, we believe rehoming him is what’s best for his overall well-being. Augustus has never shown aggression, is not a barker (aside from a gentle whimper when he needs something), is crate trained, and loves to lounge. We hope to find him a loving home where he can receive the companionship and care he deserves.
