Story
Augustus is a 6-year-old male purebred Basset Hound. He was gifted to us as a companion for our female Basset Hound, and from the start he was the more slow-paced, cautious, and quietly curious one, always observing what everyone was doing. We lost our female Basset Hound about a year and a half ago, and since then it’s been difficult for us to give Augustus the time and attention he truly needs and deserves. With our busy schedule, we’ve made the very difficult decision to rehome him so he can have a family who is able to provide more for him than we currently can. Augustus has never bitten or shown any aggression. He is not a barker, but he will gently whimper to let you know if he needs something. He is crate trained and happiest when he’s lounging nearby, enjoying a calm and comfortable space. We are hoping to find him a loving home where he can receive the companionship, patience, and affection he so deeply deserves.
