Story
Coco is a sweet and good natured miniature poodle, he is a veteran traveler who lived in 5 different countries across 3 continents, America, Africa and Eurasia! Our family has been on work assignments in different countries and Coco accompanied us everywhere. He is 12.5 y.o. and is almost blind due to cataract however he is healthy, active and is full of energy. Coco is used to moving houses and cities, so he adapts and adjusts quickly. He is easy going and doesn't require a lot of exercise these days. He loves people and children but very young children like toddlers make him nervous so he makes an ideal pet for a quieter household with older kids. He is also very patient and trusts people, so he gets compliments whenever he goes to a vet or a groomer. We are sad to rehome Coco but we are moving abroad once again, and we feel that it will not be a safe environment for him.

Story
Hi! I’m Peach! I'm a 13-lb Poodle and I'm 10 years old. I'm a golden girl who doesn't ask for much: just a place next to you on the couch where we can gossip together.  Favorite Things: Peach has three main hobbies: snuggles, snacks, and snoozing. She loves to sit with her human on a chair or couch and nap in your arms or lap. She sleeps well through a long night and is a good eater. She also enjoys exploring outside and would love to have a fenced back yard or porch to explore. She enjoys going for walks but is a slower walker. Training & Manners: One of the big secrets about older dogs is that they come trained! Peach is housetrained if let out regularly. She walks well on a leash, is a well-behaved passenger on car rides, sleeps in the people bed at night, and generally has good basic manners.  Health & Care: Peach might not be as sprightly as she once was, but she does not require any special medications beyond the flea and tick preventatives that any dog needs. As a Poodle, this gorgeous gal will need regular brushing plus professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.  Other Animals: This friendly gal gets along with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. She hasn't been observed around cats yet, but her foster thinks they'd get along.  Children: Gentle Peach does well with children of all ages.  Ideal Home: This sweet, quiet girl would do well most anyway, but she'd thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can sniff and explore at her own pace.  Overall: Peach is a very loving companion dog. Do think Peach is, well, a peach? If you think she might be your perfect match, please visit www.poodleandpoochrescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $175. ##2697769##

Story
Hi, I’m Moby! I’m an adorable 10-year-old Shih Tzu-Poodle boy who is looking for a home that’s as laid back as me. At 18 pounds of pure chill, I’m a certified couch potato and proud of it!  My vision is impaired but that doesn’t damper my curiosity or love of cuddles.  Favorite Things: Moby loves naps and food!  He also likes to stay close to his special person and, in between naps, will follow them around the house, curious about their activities. Due to his vision impairment, he takes his time getting from one place to another and can startle easily.  He can take or leave toys, but he does enjoy short, leisurely walks, especially if they involve treats. This little guy enjoys fresh blueberries and other dog-friendly fruits, as well as steamed carrots and a bit of peanut butter now and again. Training & Manners: Moby is house trained in his foster home where he is let out regularly. He has good basic house manners and walks well on a leash.  He tolerates a car ride and, once he settles down for the night, sleeps soundly, either in the people bed or his dog bed. Health & Care: Moby is currently given eye ointments and drops several times/day and the cost of these medicines is about $45 per month.  This handsome guy is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning. He’ll need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog, and regular brushing and professional grooming every 6 -8 weeks will help him look and feel his best. Other Animals: Moby has experience with other dogs and tends to ignore them.  Very active dogs, especially large ones, can startle him given his vision issues.  Moby hasn’t been tested with cats but his foster mom thinks he would be ok with them. Children: This sweet senior would do best in a home with adults and teens only. Ideal Home: Moby is vision-impaired and depth perception is a particular issue, so a home without stairs or a pool is a must for him.  Otherwise, he would do fine in an apartment, condo, townhome or single home. Once he becomes familiar with the home and with special attention paid to the safety of his surroundings, Moby can be left alone in the home for a few hours without issues. Overall: If you’re looking for a low-key, gentle, and loving companion, Moby might be the one for you.  If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $275. ##2697888##
