Story
Meet Arabella, a sweet senior looking for a loving new home. Arabella is a precious 11-year-old girl with a beautiful shaggy, curly white coat and the gentlest heart. This girl is as sweet as honey and has spent her life being a beloved companion. Sadly, Arabella is looking for a new home because her devoted owner is ill and can no longer provide the care she deserves. This has been a difficult decision for her owner, who wants nothing more than to find Arabella a safe, loving family. Arabella is spayed, well-mannered, and wee-pad trained. She's a smart little lady who lets you know when she needs water by scratching at the floor. At 11 years old, Arabella still has plenty of love to give. She would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, gentle friend. If you're searching for a sweet soul with a loving personality and a heart full of devotion, Arabella may be the perfect match. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

She was surrendered to the shelter, where she waited for a new family. Heartbroken by her story, ADOGS stepped in and rescued Damdam to help her find a fresh start and a loving forever home. 3 Personality & Characteristics - Interaction with Humans: She is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. Once she gets close to you, she will approach you first to ask for pets. - Interaction with Dogs: She got along well and peacefully with her friends at the shelter. Instead of playing actively, she prefers to sit on a cushion and rest quietly. - Interaction with Cats: She has not encountered any cats yet. - Separation Anxiety: Since she has recently moved to a foster home and is still adapting, it is too early to accurately assess. - Potty Training: She used pee pads while staying at the shelter. However, she may need some retraining once her environment changes. - Grooming & Hygiene: She behaves very well during grooming sessions. - Leash Walking: She has no prior experience with walks yet. - Motion Sickness: She shows no signs of car sickness. - Biting/Aggression: She feels uncomfortable being picked up, but she has never shown any biting tendencies. She also feels a bit overwhelmed when a human's face gets too close to hers. - Barking: She did not show any barking or whining behavior at the shelter. - Likes: Treats and snacks! - Dislikes: She feels uncomfortable with deep physical contact, such as being held tightly or having someone approach her too suddenly. - Personality: Damdam is calm and quiet. She shows a brighter, happier side once she becomes close to you, so it is best to build a relationship with her slowly and patiently.

Story
Ralphy is a sweet and spunky Schnoodle terrier mix (that’s our best guess!) who’s about 1–2 years old and weighs around 20 lbs. This adorable boy has plenty of pep in his step and a happy-go-lucky personality that’s sure to make you smile. Ralphy loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy a canine buddy who can match his playful energy. He’s also good with cats—as long as they don’t dash away, because then he thinks it’s playtime! Ralphy is doing great with his housebreaking when kept on a schedule and is very smart and eager to please, responding well to gentle correction. He walks nicely on leash and has that fun, puppy-like enthusiasm for life. Ralphy would thrive in a home with kids over 15 or an adult-only household, where he can get the attention and structure he loves. Ralphy does have mild stranger danger—he tends to bond closely with women and can be a little wary of unfamiliar men at first, sometimes barking until he feels comfortable. With a little patience and reassurance, he quickly learns that new friends are safe and kind. When left alone, Ralphy is quiet and content, but he’d be happiest with a fenced-in yard where he can run, explore, and get his zoomies out. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate companion who’s full of love and personality, Ralphy might just be your perfect match! ❤️
