Story
John is a 5 years old and has been with the same family since he was 8 weeks old. He's an affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with his people. He's happy to relax at your feet, cuddle beside you, or curl up in your lap for hours at a time. John has a playful side too! When he's comfortable, he can happily keep going until he's worn himself out. John is a very anxious dog who struggles with unfamiliar noises, changes in his environment, and having guests over. Apartment living has been particularly challenging for him, and he would benefit from a quieter home with a yard, a predictable routine and patient owners who understand anxious dogs. He may be able to live with another small dog, but he needs time and a gradual introduction to adjust. John is looking for a loving home that can accommodate his anxiety and help him feel safe and secure. His ideal home would be one where he can enjoy companionship, playtime in his own yard, and peaceful time with his people.
