Story
Meet Glover! Glover was taken to Bonita Shelter after being found a stray in Ramona, and when he wasn't claimed during his hold period, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on September 6, 2022. Glover is around 10 years old and weighs 21 lbs. How we wish we knew where he belonged, how he lived, and what his real name is! Glover let us know upon arrival that he didn't like being his kennel or in the play yard with our other littles. It was as if he was trying to tell us that he shouldn't be here, because he has a family and home to get back to! Unfortunately, no one came looking for him, and we worked steadily to earn Glover's trust and to give him enriching activities and experiences. For sure, he loves going our weekly FFF hikes, and he has great leash manners, energy and stamina. Fortunately, to give Glover a break from our play yard and his kennel, the founders of FFF gave him a two-week Frosted Fling last Christmas. They quickly observed that Glover is so much happier and relaxed in a home environment and have been fostering him ever since! As you can see in the video Glover has learned to share the share the couch with his Foster siblings. In addition to chillin' on the couch with his Foster family, Glover enjoys going on hikes and car rides. He has learned that being petted feels good, and he shows his playful side, too! They share: "Glover was immediately calmer in a home setting, but very darty and becoming a flight risk. We equipped him in a Fi collar and AirTag, and he also dragged a leash. He still resource guarded his bed, but constant correction quieted that issue a bit. We learned that Glover is VERY sensitive to noise and will cower at the slightest tone. He wildly barks when use the blender! We wish we knew where he came from and how he lived. We make a point of giving Glover a lot of exercise. He loves to eat anything, and we love watching him crunch on baby carrots. Glover has started jumping on the couch with us and snuggling. "Normal dog" things! He has a heart tattoo on his tummy indicating he is neutered, and we just think it's so cute! We love our wild child, and hope that he can find a family who will understand him and keep him safe."
