Story
Sam's owner passed away but Sam still has a lot to give and would like to find someone he can share life with. Sam is practically perfect. He is not cuddly but accepts scratches willingly and stays close. He walks well with a halter, stays close even when he isn't on a leash, and has good recall. He LOVES to be outside! He barks when people come to the property but is not a frivolous barker so you can count on him letting you know when there is actually something to alert about. He doesn't get on the furniture and even if I pick him up and put him on the bed with me he will get o, preferring to be on the oor. He is slow to trust, but once he does he is exceedingly loyal and loving. He is old but he still has a lot of life to live and love to give. He would be perfect for a pair of empty- nesters or as a companion to a widow or widower. He travels well and while he can be nervous in a new place, once he trusts you he will relax in new surroundings more easily. He does get a monthly arthritis shot monthly.  He is house trained but initially might mark in a house until he is comfortable in the house. Age:  13 years Weight:  30 lbs     Temperament: fine with dogs his size, doesn't care for bigger dogs, older respectful kids.   Training: House trained    Contact email:   a_maltbie@icloud.com   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.    July 26, 2024, 11:57 am

Story
Hi, I'm Cola Bug, a unique 9+-year-old female Miniature Schnauzer, and I'm in search of a serene and tranquil home, as I can be a bit reserved at first. But once I warm up to you (especially after a few treats), I'll reveal my charming, sweet, and quirky side. I get along well with many other dogs, and my foster says I've blossomed in their care. As a proper Schnauzer, I'm pretty close to being hypoallergenic, and I don't shed, but I do need regular grooming. I had my first groom recently, and I'm starting to look like a Schnauzer. I'm a well-mannered southern girl; I don't hop on furniture unless invited, and I'm content to rest in my dog bed if that's your preference. I'm also crate-trained, but I'd prefer to sleep in the bedroom with you, either in a dog bed or on your bed. I'm also leash and house-trained! But you'll need to help me understand where to go, keep me on a schedule, and take me out more frequently, especially in the first few days after you adopt me. In summary, I'm as close to perfect as a dog can be. All you need to do now is complete an adoption application and come meet me!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
My name is Renee Bella. I am a 2 year old, female, miniature Schnauzer. I weigh 14 pounds. My foster mom is still learning about me, but she says I am a very sweet little girl. I love being with my people. I love snuggling and being a lap dog. It’s my favorite! I’m good with other dogs. My previous home had another Schnauzer like me, and we loved playing together.    I’m still getting the hang of potty training. My foster mom has me on a good schedule. I love exploring her big fenced yard. I chase birds and try to catch chipmunks. They are too fast for me! I’m not a fan of sleeping in a crate at night. I’ve been sleeping with my owner or in my own bed in the bedroom. Like I said, I like to be close to my people.    I’d do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. I can’t wait to meet my new family. I have a lot of love to give. Please fill out an application if you’d like to meet me!
