This small (19 lbs), Carin Terrier mix has mastered the art of relaxation. Rafael comes pre-programmed with all the best doggie manners (he’s had 8 years to practice!) and he’s not about that “chewing your shoes” life. He’s more of a “snuggle on the couch and watch reality TV” kind of guy. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, high-cuddle companion Rafael is your man. He’s ready to retire to a life of luxury… preferable at your house! He is house trained and good with other dogs.Before and after his grooming! He looks so much better and a little cooler!Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.The application is the first step. What Makes Gambit Special:• Friendly & affectionate — He bonds deeply and loves to be loved.• Calm Energy – Gambit isn’t much of the wild type, he is very much acalm little couch potato, but don’t be fooled, he loves going on walksand absolutely loves sitting in your lap and sticking his head out ofthe window during car rides!• Smart & eager to learn — He picks up on routines quickly and lovespositive attention, he is also very potty trained and harness trained!• Great companion — He thrives with people who want a dog who’s partof the family. He gets alone with other dogs after adjusting to them!Gambit would do best with someone who can give him time, routine, andplenty of affection. He’s ready to be someone’s loyal shadow and bestfriend. He is 11 years old yet still feels like a puppy! We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours.
