Meet Spice!
Spice is an estimated 3–4-year-old girl who has a story we may never fully know. She came to our rescue as a stray, and it was clear that life had taught her to be cautious.
Spice isn’t the cuddly type of cat that longs to be held or is going to curl up on your lap or chest. She is independent, low-maintenance, and prefers to have things on her terms. But once she trusts you, she can show you her affectionate side.
We can honestly say she has been one of the best mama cats we have ever had. She was an absolute natural— devoted and constantly grooming and caring for them until every single one was adopted at around four months old. She even took on and cared for another mama’s kitten as her own. Her nurturing and incredibly loving nature toward her babies showed us a side of Spice that we wish everyone could see.
She would do best in a quiet, calm, child-free home where she can feel safe and secure. The unpredictable and rambunctious energy of children is simply too overwhelming for her. She needs an adopter who understands cats, respects their boundaries, and won’t expect her to become something she isn’t.
Spice needs patience, compassion, understanding, and time. We know there is an amazing cat underneath that cautious exterior, and we believe she has so much more to give. She just needs someone willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace, but most importantly she needs someone who is willing to love her just the way she is.
*Placing an adult cat in a home can sometimes come with its own challenges, but we ask you to give them between 2-3 weeks to acclimate into their new environment. We always hope for a fairy tale ending, but we know from experience that it wont always be the case. We will take back any animal that is not a good fit with their new environment. We firmly believe both pet and owner should be a good fit for one another*
(All of our cats/kittens are fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, felv/fiv negative, and microchipped)
